Metia and ClusterSeven win Technology Innovation and Growth award

A few times each year we invade the sanctity this blog with a message from our sponsor, as it were. This is one of those times.

Metia has just scooped a UK Technology Innovation and Growth Award for a PR and marketing project undertaken on behalf of our client ClusterSeven. In fact, I'd probably describe it as a team award for us and the client. It always takes two to tango in these situations.

The angle taken was the risk of spreadsheet addiction, which played well for the trade press, and featured online video and innovative delivery channels.

For many years we stayed outside the plethora of agency awards (not enough time to participate/relevance to what we do, etc). But I like these awards, organized by the European Technology Forum, because they are about achieving innovation and growth among technology companies - ie achieving a real business outcome, not simply good looking adverts. The PR/Marketing Campaign of the Year award is just one category among many. The majority of the awards are for the real heroes, the technology innovators themselves.

And, of course, I like them because we won one, too.
